Top June PR stunts

At the beginning of June, Time Magazine lit up the Californian sky with 958 drones. The publication recreated a 100-metre-tall version of its cover for a special report on unmanned aerial vehicles. We can’t even imagine the coding that went into the project, along with getting the timing of the photo shoot just right to capture the picturesque blue gradient.

World Cup fever hit the nation last month, and with that we saw a range of stunts to get fans in the mood. Coca-Cola created an AR experience at Zurich’s main train station in Switzerland. Fans were encouraged to play alongside the Swiss star Xherdan Shaqiri. At the end they could get the ultimate selfie with the footie star, and be in with the chance of winning a Fifa World Cup Official Match Ball.

We all love a good pop-up experience. Mints brand, Tic Tac launched a pop up with a difference in Covent Garden, encouraging people to open up in a fun way. People could delve into the archives to find out how the iconic company has grown over the last 50 years, create their own bespoke Tic Tac flavour, and visit the ‘Mixers’ cocktail bar. There was also a chance for people to ‘Shake their Tic Tacs’ in the GIF photobooth for the chance to win tickets to a music festival.
